The Delhi Charter Township Downtown Development Authority is a ready source of information.
In addition to providing information and assistance to new businesses who are considering moving into the area, the DDA also provides information and assistance to local businesses to promote the business community.
When local business owners talk about the area, they emphasize its receptiveness to new business, and marvel at the fact that it's largely untapped. Business relationships in Delhi Township are important. Business owners note that there's a different atmosphere here than they find in more congested areas – there's a sense of camaraderie and excitement to grow. The business people here are friendly, encouraging and helpful.
Ingham County Sheriff's Office
It is the mission of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office to assist the people and businesses of Ingham County in the mutual desire for a safe and secure community.
In order to help Delhi Charter Township businesses (and other Ingham County businesses), the Ingham County Sheriff's office has developed a Business Contact Data Sheet. Completion of this form by local businesses is encouraged, since it will greatly assist at the time of any break-in or emergency.
An interactive version of the form – in pdf format – can be downloaded from this site (download). Simply download it, fill it in electronically (by typing and tabbing from field to field). When completed, please e-mail it to the sheriff's office at: so_ream@ingham.org
Delhi Charter Township businesses also have their own Community Business Officer, funded by the Downtown Development Authority. Filling this unique role is Deputy Brad Delaney, who serves as the liaison between the Sheriff's Office and Delhi Township businesses.
