The 32-square mile Holt Public School district encompasses 13 schools: six elementary schools (including one year-round); two fifth-sixth grade middle schools (one year-round); a seventh-eighth grade junior high; a ninth grade senior high campus; a tenth-twelfth grade senior high campus; and a ninth-twelfth grade alternative high school. Four Holt schools have been named Michigan Exemplary Schools by the State Board of Education, and Holt High School has been honored as one of the top 100 schools in the country. Individual teachers in the Holt school district have also won a variety of awards for excellence in education.
